Bio

Benjamin “Benj” Easter, a dedicated attorney with a wide range of experience, is the founder and owner of Easter Law, LLC. Benj formed this firm in order to apply his talents and wide areas of experience in such a way as to strive to bring the greatest benefit possible to his clients and community. Benj views his role as attorney as not just limited to being an advocate, but also (perhaps primarily) a problem solver. He does not believe that his duties end at the courthouse doors.

Prior to becoming an attorney Benj worked as an organizer, a remedial service provider helping families and children in need, and a union president. Along with a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City, Benjamin earned a Master's degree in Business Leadership from William Penn University. Benj has been licensed in and practicing, exclusively in Missouri since passing the Bar in 2014.

While in law school Benj believed that he was heading toward a career in criminal defense. Consequently, rather than seeking out a paid internship, Benj chose to intern for both the American Civil Liberties Union and the Public Defenders office of Kansas City. However, after law school, Benj found himself working for various law firms in a variety of roles. Most consequentially, Benj began working for the Martinez Law Firm in 2015 where he had a wide variety of caseload ranging from adult Guardianship/Conservatorships for a string of nursing homes he represented, to development incentives and compliance for local business owners. While here, Benj participated in multiple trials and hearings both as first and second chair counsel gaining many favorable verdicts for his clients.

After working with this firm for a number of years, a client Benj had been working with invited him to come work as in-house counsel for his development firm. Benj then left the Martinez Law Firm to go work exclusively for Lotus Holdings, LLC as chief in-house counsel for it and all it's subsidiary companies. While there Benj worked with the company to procure development incentives, but also expanded his role to assist in many aspects of the day-to-day operation. Benj arranged and oversaw the defense of the company in various matters, interacted with multiple state agencies to ensure compliance with the law, oversaw transactions, negotiated with vendors, reviewed and drafted contracts, interacted with the many employees of the subsidiary companies, handled any employment issues that came up, and countless other responsibilities.
